HumPAL focuses on increasing opportunities for 'active transportation' - walking, bicycling, and other forms of non-motorized transportation that are encouraged by an inviting physical environment.
Transportation Demand Management
HumPAL is working with the County of Humboldt's Department of Health and Human Services to establish a Transportation Demand Management program to incentivize non-automobile work commute options for County employees. HumPAL is helping to train staff in public works, planning, economic development and social/health service departments in how to use multiple modes of transportation to get to work and is developing this model for other employers.
