HumPAL is proud to support Bike to Work Month 2009! Want to save $$ on gas? Jumpstart your workout routine? Enjoy the morning spring weather? Reduce global warming? All this and more can be yours when you bike to work during Bike Month 2009!! See the dates below for Bike Rallies (free food and prizes!), Bicyclist Fueling Stations (free beverages and snacks!) and attending the Bike Gear Swap and Film Fest!

Bike Month Events:

• Bike raffle at Eureka and Arcata Co-ops, enter the drawing in May for June the giveaway!
• May 1st: Bike Gear Swap (5-7:00 p.m.) and Bike Film Fest (7-9:00 p.m.) on May 1 at Arcata's D Street Neighborhood Center, co-sponsored by the City of Arcata
• May 2nd: Arts Alive Ride: contact Green Wheels (chris.rall@green-wheels.org)
  
• May 3rd: Bike Rodeo on Arcata Plaza in the morning. Want to volunteer? Contact Oona Smith at City of Arcata for more info!
• May 7th: Arts Arcata Ride: contact Green Wheels
  
• May 9th: Tour of the Unknown Coast, www.tuccycle.org. The Humboldt Bay Bicycle Commuter's Association (HBBCA) will assist during and after the event.
• May 11th: HBBCA meeting at the Water District office, corner of J & 7th in Eureka, 6:00 p.m. (humbike.org)
• May 13th: Arcata Plaza Noon Rally (lots of prizes) and morning bike station at Arcata CoOp (7-8:30 a.m.)
• May 20th: Eureka Gazebo Noon Rally (lots of prizes) and morning bike station at Eureka Co-Op (7-8:30 a.m.)
• May 23rd-25th: Kinetic Sculpture Race: Spectator's Ride organized through Green Wheels

Thank you to the commercial sponsors of Bike Month! Pro Sport Center, Henderson Center, Sport and Cycle, Revolution Bicycle Repair and Adventure's Edge for donating prizes for the bike rallies. The Pro Sport Center donated a "ton" of Cannondale multi tools. We'll give them to the first 25 people attending each rally. They are a $20 value. And thank you to the North Coast Co-op for the great job advertising Bike Month and all the events!
